  • Nope let it ride because your boss may already know the situation and it will never be brought up. You have just had alesson in office politics. Mr Bill
  • never trust others in a dog eat dog career
  • Let sleeping dogs lie. You can't know what was said (unless you were eavesdropping) and at best you'd come out of this looking bitchy.
  • No....keep it under your hat. Rermember, never give anything away about yourself personally at work that can be used against you. People get to work and they become these backstabbing animals. Be careful who you confide in or give information too and also remember to keep your friends at work at an arms distance. As for mentioning anything to your boss? I would not say a word until your boss says something to you about it. I believe your boss has bigger fish to fry than to listen to office drama. Trust me on this. No bosses give a flying sh-t about that. No one likes a rat. Not even bosses.
  • Hope it all comes out OK
  • I agree with the other answers, say nothing is the best policy. No need to defend yourself. Treat the whole thing as an exercise in spite and jealousy and speak to your colleague only if you have to. Treat her coolly and politely and don't get tempted to retaliate. If your boss ever does bring up this rubbish (and she proabably won't) simply say it is not true and leave it at that. Least said, soonest mended as my old granny used to say!
