  • I speak two languages - Greek and English. English being the one im more fluent in. Im pretty fluent in Greek too though I find it hard to express myself fully when I get very angry/happy - just can't find the rigth words to explain my emotions. So Im fine with regular chit chat in my 2nd language but if the convo gets heated either way (happy/sad).. yeah i find it a bit frustrating that I cant express myself as well.
  • I am fluent in German. I find the major difference is occasionally i find myself needing to actually think about what is being said before I can respond if they are using terms I am not exposed to frequently. As the poster above, I also have a hard time speaking the language when I am either very excited, or frustrated. The conversations don't seem less deep or personal, they are simply a bit more challenging at times.
  • Yes, my native language is French and I live in Germany, where I use German on a daily basis. I find it very interesting to use other languages. It is a little like playing a game, where the rules are different than what you are experiencing normally.
  • Je parle français et anglais.
  • i speak english, german, and spanish. i am able to understand conversations pretty well, but it still takes a little effort for me to communicate back. it doesn't seem less personal, i am just a little more limited in spanish and german than i would be in english. i greatly enjoy conversing in foreign languages, since it helps me practice and is a good skill for traveling.
