If aliens attacked the Earth, do you beleive all countries no matter their religion would unite to save our planet?

Unfortunatly, no I don't think they would, although I don't think religion would be the reason why.

What does religion have to do with it? Eh... not all countries would join to save it, though I think a lot would. Some would want to save it on their own, some would want to join the aliens...

If aliens attacked Earth, I don't think anything we had could defeat them, even if the whole world worked together. If they are attacking us with space ships and things like you see in Star Wars, which is possible, we might as well bend over and say good bye. Saving our planet or ourselves would not be an option.

I would love to say yes but I think not. There are to many egos, power struggles and faith issues to ovecome. It just couldn't happen in my opinion.

The point I was trying to make was, do you think the planet could unite as friends without the issues of race or religion? I beleive if Aliens attacked then we would unite for sure, everything else would seem trivial! So why dont we do it NOW?

I think we'd find a reason to fight each other until the bitter end. Who would lead us against the aliens? That'd start WWIII right there and make the alien's job easier!

I'd like to think we all would, but would we? Good question. There's enough food on the planet that no living creature should go to bed hungry or starve to death...humans and animals....yet both do in many cases....greed...that would probably be what would keep nations from uniting on an alien attack as well.

I think you'd see most countries banding together and bonding, but also some Dr Evil types, twisted fringe groups and possibly even nations, trying to side with the aliens for their own gain. There's also a good chance that the terminally religious would jump to some totally insane conclusion about the aliens and side with them too.

If we would stop shooting at them we might never find out. (but it is against my religion to fight) just kidding (I am Christian). I see some people did not understand that part of the Q but I do. I think the countrys that have religions that forbid fighting are not abiding by that (example muslims) it is against their religion to fight, but look what they are doing now. I think we will be fighting the PEOPLE who return to earth, against the people leaving the earth. I think aliens are more advanced if they make it here, and are past fighting, but would have defensive weapons, and maybe even destroy our nukes so we cannot do mass distruction against each other. (look what happened during the Cuban missile chrisis, (SOMEHOW) our nukes suddenly kind of melted)-(the electronics). Hmmmm.
