That could be one reason. Generally it's because they're perceived to be a danger to themselves and/or those around them.
-
yeah thats usually the real reason but a few of us just love padding! LOL!
-
I like it in here for the acoustics.

I think in this case, it would be one of the few times that someone would require physical restraints - not seclusion. If they are hitting their head against the wall, they could still hurt themselves in a padded room, especially at the door of the room because the door requires a window.
-
They put them in there because they are silly enough to want to hurt themselves. I used the term silly, lightly. It can be replaced with....wacky, stupid, nuts, f'n nuts, crazy or deranged. :-)
-
Yes that is one reason as well as the fact they are a danger to themselves and others.
-
Nah, I think we've all done that a time or two.
-
Maybe not yet, but perhaps the potential is there. Certain mental illnesses manifest themselves in different ways..one of them may be to butt one's head against a wall or throw one's entire body at the wall or even try to run through it. :(
-
I checked myself in for a while to get away from people asking such dumb-assed questions?
-
SHH!! don't spread the secret. That's my padded room and I don't want to share it so mums the word
-
Are they STILL telling people that!! It wasn't my head, it was my whole body!! Sheesh! LOL
-
Yes.They're all people who have called the Dell support line under their extended warranty.
-
No, they put them in padded rooms to make it more comfortable when they get so board that they started climbing the walls.
