  • Yes, the day I became a mom to my twins. The experience gave my life a whole new meaning and purpose.
  • If I say something then it will be telling falsehood so I cannot comment on that. Self awakening or Realization is an individual experience and cannot be qualified/quantified into an answer! Either you are or you aren't! If you are you don't talk about it and if you aren't then you say that you are and be ready to be called foolish!
  • Every time one of my children was born..and then my last divorce was very awakening:)
  • No. It tends to be a gradual process of self-realization for me. I still feel very much like I'm lost and still finding my way -- or maybe that's my quarter life crisis kicking into high gear! Either way, I do have blasts of self-awakening sometimes, when inspired by deep conversation... a fantastic book... a challenge that is overcome. A sudden surge of purpose and understanding certainly opens up the opportunity to feel more whole. But it takes a while to feel truly plugged into the positive Life Force all the time... I am working on this on my own end with the morning meditation group :)
  • Yes and I would have been much happier without them.
  • You bet. In the last year I discovered I'm a he** of a lot tougher/stronger/ more resilient than I thought I was. Very glad to find that out about myself, even at this advanced age! :) ((hugs))
  • Yes, we all do, I fell in love for the first time in my life, then I knew that my future was going to change around
  • Yes. When my then-husband was trying to strangle me, I realized I had to stand up for myself and be responsible. I'm obviously still here so I succeeded.
  • Yes, I was eighteen and reading William James for the first time. Suddenly, I put the book down and stared into space. Everything all of a sudden became so clear. It was a type of religious experience, if you will, and I can see why people dedicate themselves after such a happening. One caveat before such a dedication: I read the same excerpt later in life, and I could not see what at the time was such a big deal.
  • Yes when I was 42 and awakened after being in a coma for three months! It was a rude awakening to say the least in more ways than one!
  • Yes ... ... the three sudden shifts that occur during the moments of change while studying & practicing the meditations of "Kan & Li" ... often referred to as the great enlightenment of Kan & Li, the greater enlightenment of Kan & Li, and the greatest enlightenment of Kan & Li ... or sometimes just referred to as the three enlightenments of Kan & Li.
  • Yes...The morning after my 33 rd B-day and I was in the arms of a man I loved and trusted. For the first time that I can remember I felt safe.
  • I go back and forth. It's too difficult to try and stay alert all the time. But, I do try to get in contact with my consciousness several times a day. The first time that I became totally aware was in a martial arts contest and I realized that I could be totally conscious and aware and untouchable. It was amazing. I knew everything that my opponent was going to attempt. It was kind of like stepping out of time. It definitely puts you on a different plane.
  • in the middle of a car accident...everything was in slow motion...weird.
  • That's a great question. Yes, I did.. it was the afternoon of May 4, 2000 when I learned not to take anything for granted EVER, and to cherish every moment of my life and those I care about around me, because it could all be gone in an instant. The day just intensified the feelings that I already had, and brought me to a new level. ...and no, it wasn't a tragic car accident , but I can bet that a specific event similar to that might make someone look at their life in a new way, and hopefully in a positive way. Things are what you make of them.
