Yes, the second time I went to Honduras I did not feel safe at all. We had to travel with armed guards and it was quite unsettling. There were also a couple of times where I feared for my personal safety(not necessarily my life) while I was in France, but that was because of poor choices I made, not because the country is unsafe.

Having been a soldier I have been in many areas on active duty.At first it worried me a little that I might be killed or badly injured.After a while the fear seems to leave you as one realises that you have no actual control over the unseen hidden enemy who wants to kill you.If it has to happen you pray that it will be very quick and painless. When I first came under enemy fire all fear quickly disappeared and all I worried about was self preservation and the need not to let my colleagues down.After the action had terminated I remember that I shook a little and my legs trembled for awhile, and I have been told that this is only natural.
