I went to one about 5 or 6 years ago, a work's Christmas do. I found it pretty boring really - it was really complicated and I wasn't paying attention. They asked if anyone had any questions so I shouted "Yes, when's the disco?" which didn't go down too well. I sort of wandered off and hid in the bar. It might be fun, but not for me.

The more into the party you are, the more fun it is. If you're just there to get drunk, you may as well go to a normal party. If you actually want to pay attention and like mysteries, it's fun trying to figure out the solution. Personally, I just enjoy watching other people make complete fools of themselves, and trying to figure out the solution without getting too into it.

I went for a Friend's birthday a few months ago. I didn't find it entertaining at all.

I went to one about 10 years ago. It was a murder mystery set in the 1950's and we were asked to dress up for that period. Which meant all of us had to do research on the clothes, etc. It was run by a couple in their house and was well run, but they had to give a couple hints at critical times to make sure we didn't wind up playing all night. I was with alot of people who tended to "over analyze" everything. In general, a good time and something I would do again.
