Has anyone been in for premaritial counseling? Did it help? Who was your counselor? Why did you go?

Yes we did. It was recommended to us by my partners minister. It was independently run and was a weekend group thing. As to help, no, not really, and I don't see how it could. Premarital means you are still in the rose coloured glasses stage, you know, he can do no wrong, so having counseling when you are fine didn't seem to work.

yes, my husband and i took it when we were first married because we were married on the base and the chaplain required it. it definitely helped! anything you can do to tip the odds in your favor!!

I personally, have not. But I had a friend who did. It resulted in him and the woman he loves realizing they were much too different and they called it off.

I didnt realize there was such a thing. I think if their are problems prior to the marriage thats not a good sign of things to come. just my 2 cents.
