96 Grand Am, put new battery in, ran fine bout bout 15 mins then started to sputter and shut off, now wont start..whats wrong, Alternator?

Not enough charge in battery or cables need tightening. or alternator not putting out enough juice. The computer runs off the battery so if it is not charged it will not run. Mr Bill
