  • I think it does. A 90 year old dying of old age induced system failure is far less aggrieving than a 15 year old committing suicide. At least, it is to me.
  • Yes - if a very very old relative dies peacefully I think you would feel less grief than if your child died in an accident for example.
  • Usually intensify. The more details the worse it is.
  • My father died suddenly at age 80. He did not suffer. He always said he would hate to be in a nursing home. It was a great way to go. But the suddenness of it was harder on the family than if he had been ill and in failing health.
