All of our toasters have short cords attached to the front which makes it hard to use. Is this just a clueless requirement from our government or another example of why not to buy made in China?
WOW are you sure it's not a defective toaster? I'd go online to that manufacturer's site and see if the photos they show of your toaster have the cord in the front....really wild!!!!
I don't think it's bad to run the cord under the toaster, just make sure it's kept fairly loose and that you don't 'bend' the cord to fit...
and you better check the website, or better yet take it back to the store and see if all the others of that model are the same!!!!!!!! better yet, exchange it for a different brand!!!!!!! What brand of toaster is it??? you've got me really curious!!!

You're reading Bought a new toaster. The cord is in the front of the toaster. Is it safe to run the cord underneath the toaster? Also why would they put it there?
