  • I don't know if you can afford to buy an electric "roaster oven," but they're pretty cheap, starting at about $25.   • I cooked mine (16 lbs) in a microwave last year. It worked pretty good, but the turkey split in half when we took it out. Every grocery store and most restaurants have complete take home dinners. One year I tried the family size frozen sliced turkey, but it wasn't very good.
