No, but I'd take alot of pictures to show the family

Well, I ain't no spaceship traveler but something tells me that if you travel in a straight line, which is of course, in the opposite direction of where you started, you ain't gonna go back to the starting point unless you travel around in a circle or take a detour

I just happen to be reading "The Cosmos" by world renowned astronomer and professor Carl Sagan, and no you will NOT end up where you started....but you will eventually die meaning, there is no end to space that we humans will ever see.

I know enough about the universe to know I wouldn't be around to find out the answer if I tried it. It also depends on how you define a "dead straight line"
-
at 1 point you would probaly go in a galaxy or black hole
-
you wouldnt end up where you started as the universe is still expanding, you would probably go on forever, depending on your speed, and if you didnt get sucked into a blackhole or get shot-up by an alien?
-
It now appears that the universe is infinite, so you would continue in your "straight" line forever.

Maybe there is more than just our universe? And isn't our universe constantly expanding? I don't think we much about space at all.
