Is there a limit to how many points you can have?

If there is, no one has reached it. I'd guess the limit is the maximum value of an integer in PHP or SQL.

Not yet. We strive to reach higher points and levels daily. I think the limit is "how many interesting question can we post?" The same ones come up pretty often and little is gained by posting to a question that already has 100 answers.
