Make my way to the impact site. I know that this question may seem 'simple' but the reality is that the death of humanity is something most humans cannot deal with. In the 90's Deep Impact and Armageddon depicted only a thin fraction of the real panic that would ensue. While many may think they will take it like a sport, the reality is that survival instinct will kick in, most especially people with something to lose - their children, will try the hardest to survive or ensure the survival of their offspring. Even in the face of a true world wiping impact event, the media, science, government would 'down play' the matter, and give people something to do like stock up in their basement, or build a bomb shelter. False hope would be the message of the day, that false hope would keep society going up until close to the end. Death is one thing, slow, rioting death of the species would be forestalled as long as possible. Thus the event would be 'downplayed' as much as possible to prevent society, cities, nations from going up in flames caused by a panicking population.
