I personally know one member. I don't communicate outside of AB with the rest of the ABers except for one person I did not know.
-
I am in contact with a few ABers off of the forum. I use email.
-
I have been in contact with a handful of members through email. If you care to tell me something, email address is in my profile.

I don't know. The only 2 people on here I emailed had their emails in their profile. It is a problem not having a way to privately within AB contact someone so it could still be "safe" using AB names.

You can use your regular email account, but if you wish some privacy or don't want your email appearing in other places try this: You can create alternate email accounts to communicate if you wish to remain anonymous or retain your privacy. Try yahoo.com to create an account. If you get tired of the dialogue, just abandon the account.

I have only had email contact with one other member who was very kind to me. Other than that I do not know anyone or have contact with anyone except on the comment section

create an alternate email

Most people post an e-mail address in their profile so that if others want to contact them, they can. I post mine, but do not use my primary e-mail account.

I have had email contact with three other AB members. Most of the time, I communicate with other AB members through comments or forums.

I have spoken to AB'ers on the phone and sent them e-mails. Generally, if I want to further a friendship, I leave someone an e-mail on an AB thread and ask them to drop me a line, if they feel comfortable doing so. I am careful about this sort of thing, but generally have found some of the posters so similar to myself in their sensibilities that I think, we must have a lot in common. I have developed some real friendships here in a very short time. I don't know everything about my AB friends, but they are all still newish friends. I hope to learn more and that our friendships will run long. There is no doubt in my mind that I will eventually meet a few. Just because you meet a person on-line does not mean that they can't be a "real" friend. I am currently in the process of mailing a copy of one of my favorite novels to one of my AB friends. I'm so excited to find out whether that person finds it as wonderful as I, that I can hardly wait.

I use a alternate email and give it to the people who ask for it. I only have one person I talk to outside of AB. The rest of them I just talk to through comments and stuff. I don't send any info to anyone except that email and I will give it to them in a comment. I agree though if you don't want to use your main email come up with a new one just for AB friends only or somthing like that!
