Yes, its completely a southern thing. Very common in North Carolina.

If you grew up in the south, you already know the answer. Yep. It's a "southern thang!" Combinations include Peanut butter, mayo and banana, Peanut butter and banana, banana and mayo, and even mayo and grape jelly. On white Merita bread of course. Delicious!

That sounds like something I would immediately puke up. I love Southern cooking and Tex Mex but that sounds disgusting.
