When you approve someone for your "Friends" list, do you have any critieria that person has to have?

yes. It's in my profile. 1. I will NOT accept anonymous 2. We must have had some interactions with each other and have some things in common--some important things 3. I will very very seldom accept new people for the very reason of trolling or DRing, etc. People are very bad about starting accounts for that purpose and then not being active..I will also delete members that have not been active for a month or so.

Well, I just approved yours without looking because I know that you put quality into your submissions and write helpful answers. Thanks for the add! When I don't know the user, I check out the stats. I look for high +% given. I also can't have any new users on my list that ask dozens of questions a day. It's just too much information to manage!

I'm not really into rules, i go with a vibe. If i know them and like them i will add them, otherwise i will look at their profile and decide, no nasty people, and if they appear to have no history i won't add them ;0)

I never used to just used to add them but got hit by anonumous's and felt overwhelmed so after getting a few snide comments and DR's deleted and won't accept anybody that i've not had any interaction with but i have sent requests out a couple of times (but even then i looked before i made said request) :)

I usually check some random questions and answers of theirs (to make sure they aren't trolls) and check their ratings level. If they look like nice people, I'll add them to my friends. If they look like they are trolling, I pass.

the same that I use in the "real world" **no foul language **no sexually explict themes, discussions, etc. **no mean attitude, negativity, snideness, viciousness, bullying **no multiple accounts posing as different ppl to rate oneself higher and gang up on others. There is more, but that's all I'll say right now. I am picky about who I "hang" with. I don't have time for a lot of ugly nonsense. I will go and read a person's post who invites me to be a friend, (if I don't recognize them) and will determine if I want to be associated with them...yes, this is cyberspace and anonymous to a degree, but I try to maintain the same traits here, that I do in person....we are interacting, aren't we??

I like to have seen some of their questions and answers but the main thing I check is a persons positive percentages. If they are too low I think that person is probably too dogmatic and judgmental for me to accept.

No, for I accept people on how they treat me. You my friend have treated me well and I accepted you brcause you are unique. You have long answers and put your Name at the end of each.
