It used to be a lot more common to keep turtles, usually red-ear, before they became associated with salmonella poisoning. Often they did not eat when they were put in a new home. They would resume eating when they got sufficiently hungry. If you have any kind of bigger home you can give it, such as a huge washbasin with a sunbathing rock and a sunlamp, it may feel more at home and get comfortable eating sooner.
I had the same problem when I first got my red eared slider turtles,I tried bloodworms from petsmart,and they loved them
