There might be, but I certainly do not hold this superstition. (I am Jewish.)

Jews are not generally into superstition (we call them "Bobba Meises" or old wive's tales). I've never encountered the practice of not having a picture of a bird in one's house. The closest guess I could hazard as to where this idea comes from is: a) Some ultra-Orthodox Jews will not have pictures of animals which are not "kosher" in their homes. (Kosher animals are those which a Jews may eat). b) Jewish mystics sometimes refer to souls returning to Earth as birds- usually to get help from a highly spiritual person who can aid the soul on its spiritual journey. (The famed 16th Century Kabbalist, Rabbi Yitzchak Luria is one proponent of this concept).
