How can I brighten a dull orange sweatshirt to a yellow-orange color? I've heard of Rit Dye but does it work?

Well you could try but you might have to use color remover before applying new dye. Also check on the fiber content of your sweatshirt. If it contains polyester, it won't work. There is a special method for dyeing polyester but I don't know what it is.

ritz dye will work...I like the other answer you got.Along with that keep in mind that the original color will not come back because of wear and the fibers. It will however brighten it up (both colors)Good luck
