I pluck my eyebrows and upperlip every morning, i have tried every way to remove the hair, but it gorws back the next day! Also i have to shave every day and i have excessive hair on my arms! Is there something i can do to stop this?!? or slow the growth?

wax, eventually when you wax the hair all the time the root of the hairs get to damadged to be able to grow hairs normally. this does take awhile to kill the hairs but if you keep waxing it does work.

have you been tested for thyroid problems its a quick blood test thats all, you could also try waxing.

You really need to see a doctor and get all your horomone levels checked out. I have hairs that grow on my chin but they do not grow back the next day, it takes several days for re-growth.

hah thank you. I've said to my doctor before that i was embrassed about all of my arm hair. she didn't seem like she thought there was anything serious that i would have to get tested for. My mother always jokes because I'm french..could it really just be in the family??

If you do seek medical advice for this, try to get tested somehow for PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). If you are tested, there is treatment available. use immac or a hair removal cream. They work really well I am a dark female n get facial hair I only use it about every 3 weeks. Leave on for five mins according to your skin type and wipe off. There are copies that work well si try and buy good luck

I agree with those who say you should go to a professional. I think your doctor would have suggested your levels checked if they were concerned about your hormones ... but just curious.. have you used one of those battery operated wand gimmicks that promise to remove unwanted facial hair? .. they are one of the leading causes of the aggravation of such a problem. When using such a product you get almost the same result as if you had used a razor and shaved... the hair grows back fast and sometimes thicker. I would talk to a professional and do away with all of the hassle. Good luck!

Electrolysis is expensive, but you really shouldn't pluck the upper lip! It will grow back SOOO heavily. It's worth the money in the long run to do the lip. Also, there is a new cream that slows the growth of hair and it grows in thinner and finer too. Ask a dermatologist.

my husband does not like hair so he waxes even his face. he has been doing it for about a year now and his beard grows but is not as thick and the hair has become finer. it appears the waxing has killed some of the roots so the hair does not grow back

I think you ought to see your doctor. Hormones levels may be an issue. But plucking your upper lip...OW OW OW!!! The skin there is so delicate, I would suggest threading, or waxing, since you get all the pain in just a few seconds.
