no, accepting God and accepting religion are two different things, but if you believe in a religion and you don't go to its church then there is something you're not doing right.

Not if you believe in Allah, in which case you should go to Mosque, or in the Old Testament God but not Jesus, in which case you should go to Synagogue, or in the Hindu Gods, in which case you should go to the Temple, and so on. Which God do you believe in, and why? Do you believe because scripture said so (in which case you should obey scripture) or for reasons of your own (in which case you only have to satisfy your internal voice).

No You do not need to go to church to respect God. you can pray, ask, worship, beg or what ever your need from anywhere, he can and will hear you from every-where. The church you speak of is a BUILDING. The CHURCH of GOD is in our HEARTS.

Therefore, you will NOT be condemned for NOT attended a church ... but it is, rather, a demonstration of the condition of your heart TOWARDS GOD. Your first problem is believing in God, but you are better off than those who go to church on top of believing.

Just because you live in a Christian dominated society, it does not mean that you have to be Christian. Islam is the fastest growing Religion on the face of the Earth and I encourage you to find your answer there.

If you truly beleive in God, then you should read(if you haven't already) the Bible. The Bible will tell you that God wants you to gather in groups of 2 or more to come and praise him. Also to give 10% of you earnings (tithes) to the church to help the spread of the word of God thoughout the world.

In my opinion, it depends what god you believe in. The Christian God? If this is the case, you'd enjoy going to church, it'd help you to grow in your religion. If you believe in a god such as the one in 'Conversations with God' then there is no need for church as that god is not about religion :)

Not wrong at all. I believe in God and haven't been to church for many years. I feel it's best to stay away from all the mean, hypocritical, sanctimonious people. Not all church goers are like that, but a lot are.

For salvation you must believe that that Jesus was sent to die for your sins. You believe that he rose again and is seated next to God. You then are suppose to let him lead your life. that is my understanding. That aside their are many good churches out their are a small amount of not good churches. Unfortunely some of us end up in the not so good churches and this sours us. Not on God and his son but churches. You can pray, study your bible and follow god without a building. I am looking for a church because I think it keeps me on track with out followers. I don't believe that church is what saves me.
