I usually don't smile at strangers unless they're babies or toddlers =). And for strangers smiling at me, it depends. If it's a genuine smile, then I like it. But if it looks more like they're laughing at me, then no...

I do smile at strangers. I have mixed feelings when someone smiles at me, how I feel depends on the circumstances of the smile in question. ;)

If it is an old person, woman, or a kid. Not to the man, he may think I am flirting with him. Generally, I like to make old ppl good and always wish them first. Same goes with kiddos too.

I like to say "Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening" to them. It depends on who they are and where they are. In a smaller town people are more likely to respond in kind. In larger cities they are more likely to look at you like you are weird.

I smile at people as often as I can. I'm definitely a smiley person. It makes me feel good when someone smiles at me. I love it. :) :)

If I make eye contact with someone then I smile, if they smile back then it's pretty cool, if they don't then I just feel like a wierdo.

I usually make eye-contact, smile, and often say, "good morning", "good afternoon", etc., unless I'm in a crowded area. Doesn't matter much to me whether people do the same or not.

Not really on the street but at the grocery store or the gym if they seem harmless and smile at me then I don't really mind and I smile back. But if they seem creepy... then I'd just be scared and run the other way.

Yes, occssionally i will smile at strangers in the street. No harm in it, and nothing sexual meant in it either considering i am a married man. If a stranger smiles at me, that is fine, i will return the compliment and perhaps even say g'day. If people smiled at strangers more often the world would be a better place i reckon.

No, the only consideration I ever give to people on the street is occasionaly flipping the bird to someone who almost ran me over.

YES I do I find that most smiles are reciprocated in whichever country you visit. I have travelled to five continents and never had a problem. I like it very much when people smile at you , it lightens the heart, the day and my step to think that people are happy to see mely

I do smile at strangers quite often, simply to increase friendliness & hopefully teach grouchy people to learn how to smile lol! I'm generally smiley anyways, it comes naturally! It's also really nice to have someone smile back at you, it makes my mood seem somewhat lifted =)

I generally smile and say hello to everyone. You never know if that particular person is having a bad day and a smile and hello from a stranger just might perk them up. It has happened to me on quite a few ocassions. If I'm having a bad day, just a simple smile from someone brightens my day.

Of course, if we all smiled at strangers it would cut down on hostility and maybe even cut down on wars. It's much better to smile than scowl it shows friendship rather than agression, acceptance rather then rejection. Go on smile, make someone's day.

When I make eye contact, I will. Otherwise, I'd look like a grinning fool, with all the strangers I come in contact with, LOL. I do try to keep a pleasant look on my face, and when I don't have one people tend to think that I'm mad about something, even when I'm not.
