No, that would be very cruel. The nurse should be a professional and never let her emotions take over. I would complain if I witnessed such a thing. No good can come from having some witch reprimand your mother for not be able to control her functions.

Firstly, Jas, the care worker is not a "nurse", she is a home health care aide. Either way she should not be reprimanding the client as she clearly can not help what she is doing. I would suggest contacting her supervisor immediately - after you have reprimanded her personally. It might also be worthwhile speaking with your Health Professional - have they checked to make sure the lady isn't actually constipated and has what we call "overflow".
