  • If you feel that you could benefit from talking to someone who is not biased or judgmental and has the skills to help you sort out your own thoughts and feelings, you should go. If you feel your life is out of control and you can't find a starting place to bring it back undercontrol, you should see a therapist. If you are severely depressed, contemplating suicide, unable to sleep or take care of yourself, or making irrational choices, see a therapist. If you just wonder if it might be the right thing to do, but are not sure, go ahead and see one. It will not hurt. Even healthy people can benefit from therapy.
