I've heard that New Balance makes a wide range of shoes to fit all sizes and shapes of feet. Wide, narrow, etc. -- it might be worth the extra time and money to go to a "real" shoe store (like in the mall, or one of the larger, upscale department stores) and have someone measure her feet and recommend a good brand that fits better, so that she's got a really good pair of shoes. If money isn't an issue, this is probably going to be the ideal situation. If it is, it may be worth it to spend the extra money on a good pair of shoes that will last longer and be worth it in the respect of not having pain and/or doctor visits because of the pain in her feet and probably her legs & back. Good luck!

Try Reeboks, preferrably, the cloth us with the wedgie type sole - they're awesome and very cushiony. I've been wearing them for ages and my feet feel like a million bucks when I wear them

Honey... when you find out let me know... I have heel spurs that are excrutiating most of the time. I got them from wearing suede Holister flip flops that I paid over $50.00 for, so... How much you actually spend on a thing, has little to nothing to do with if it is actually good for you or not.
