Last week, on the Steve Wilkos show, there was a story about a mother that taught her 4 year old daughter how to touch herself. Personally, the story was sickening. What do YOU think of the story? Would YOU teach your child this?

    After some of the girls here are terribly mutilated (forcibly circumcised)by religious zealots, they never want to touch themselves again...now THAT'S sickening; puts everything in perspective!!!

    PLEASE READ THIS!! I just saw that episode today and what is disgusting is Steve Wilkos himself!! The mother DIDN'T TEACH her daughter to touch herself! Her daughter was already occasionally touching herself and the mother asked the doctor to advise her on what to do. The doctor told her that it is normal for her to explore her body but that she should explain to her that that is something to be done in private. She said that she followed the doctor's advice and explained this to her daughter. Steve Wilkos treated this mother like trash and humiliated her on national television. I have been a public health nurse for 18 years and have spent the past 10 years teaching parenting classes. This topic frequently arises in our toddler class and we give the same advice. It is, in fact, the same as what most experts suggest...just google it! This was the first time I saw Steve Wilkos. I would have turned it off but I was intrigued but then it started making me angry the way he was talking to this mother. I just googled Steve Wilkos so I get it that that's his thing, but to slam someone when he has no clue...he's sick! Some of the other things the mother admitted to, show that she has made some poor choices regarding her daughter. But she had a concern, sought help from a health care professional, and actually followed through with what she was told and that's what he slammed her for??!!! I guess people know a bit what they're getting in to when they decide to go on the show, but I don't think this mother had any idea that she would be attacked in this way and accused of molesting her daughter. It makes me so sad to think of how awful she must have felt.

    Not at 4 but yes. Just recently my wife and I found blood on the sheets of our 12 year old niece as well as some bloody objects. We had to help her to understand the right way and the wrong way to do things. We had to explain about cleanliness and how she could get an infection and that she had to be careful and use the right tools. Didn't go into to much detail but basicly start out small and slow with lube and make sure everything is clean. We told her to be open , we are here for her for anything she needs. Her parents aren't around so we are as close to her as she should be with her parents.

    Thats even a more reason for Steve Wilko to go back to the springer show so he isnt in any sort of control of who goes on the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Personally, I don't like it.

    Because for one, she's quite young to be thinking too deeply into sexual pleasure right now, and two, it happens pretty naturally. Kids will explore their bodies and discover it for themselves..they don't need their Mom 'teaching' them. :/

    If the daughter was harming herself trying to insert dirty items into her vagina, then the mother did the right thing. Who the hell are YOU to pretend to know all the circumstances, and stick your big, warty nose into a mother's business?     I didn't see that. He comes on too early here now but I love his shows. There is no way she could have taught her child to do that UNLESS she was touching her to show her. In which case, that makes her a fuck88g pervert who needs to have her fingers cut off and be sterilized so she can't have anymore kids and then her azz thrown in jail. More than likely she is sexually abusing that child. It's normal for kids to "touch themself" as they grow up because they are learning new things but to be FORCED and taught to do it..that is just sick. No way in HE** would I teach my child to do something like that..

    HELL NO. child molesters and sick people need to be YELLED AT, SCREAMED AT, AND PUT IN THEIR PLACE AND THEY DESERVE A HELLLLLL OF A LOT MORE THAN THAT.
