What keeps women going? Day after day, year after year, they repeatedly complete chores in routines that I don't believe many men could complete, yet this has become a woman's role in the family. What drives them?

Exactly what are you talking about? Not meaning to degrade women or anything but I am a man and I can and have completed those chores. And plus the old traditional family roles are fading. Men are helping out more around the house and women are out in the workforce more.

well me personally i dont mind doing chores because i like living in a clean house and i have a thing where everything as to be tidy. i cant settle down and relax with mess around me. the part about "many men couldnt complete" i would agree with you if you was talking about my bf because he is soooo messy im sure he only does it to annoy me.

I think you're massively overgeneralizing with this question. You seem to be lumping all women into a pigeon hole of sorts and assuming every woman plays the same role in life as every other woman. I don't think the kind of "June Cleaver" position you indicate holds true for all, or even many women.

This question made me think of my mom. She's doing the same chores all day long.. Vaccumin, washing dishes, brooming, mopping, laundry. And she does some of these chores 3 times a day. Plus, she's a doctor, so she's a hard working ladyyy and a terrific mom and wife. I guess the reason that she does these things everyday is because, 1. if she sees a mess she goes into panic mode, and gets upset, and 2. she knows that nobody else is going to do it because we're lazy asses so she has to (i do help her out all the time btw). I love my mommy. :) -Make sure you realize that I'm only talking about my family though, not everyone in general. In some cases, women don't do anything and the husbands do all the chores, or sometimes everyone pitches in.

Well? I believe it's lathargic and apathetic husbands, the "stuff" has to get done, so the women are compelled to do it. Historically, women did stay at the home place to care for the children and homestead, whilst the husband/mate, was out acquiring the food/harvest for the meals. Not until this century has this role been changed by the opportunities for women. I do wish however that the rest of the world would appreciate the value of their women as equals, not as subserviant. Just my opinion as a 24 year happily married guy. See the video, enjoy.

Love for their family and pride in the upkeep of their home. Many women just love looking after their family and home. I would too if I had one.

I believe that there are several answers to this question... but for me at least, the answer would be Love. Love for their family and themselves.
