I was raised as a JW but could never understand how they explained evolution..... please explain....... There is PROOF of evolution that can not be denied, thus I am confused about JW's as well as any other religions view of evolution.

In Catholicism, the scientific theory of evolution is not denied. Catholics are free to accept or reject the theory. It is a matter of science. What the Catholic Church teaches regarding Christian Anthropology is: 1) The first man was created by God. (Dogma - De fide.) 2)The whole human race stems from one single human pair. (Doctrine that is certain teaching - Sent. certa.) 3) Man consists of two essential parts--a material body and a spiritual soul. But if science tries to over-extend and apply the theory to the non-material (i.e. the spiritual soul of a man), then it is operating in a realm where it was never meant to apply.

The word "proof" is a very strong one that is, in any technical sense, usually reserved only for mathematical proofs. . There is sufficient evidence in favor of evolution that it's next to impossible to conceive of a hypothesis that would include all that evidence and NOT be evolution. So, evolution is the most likely explanation by a factor so huge that in the common usage, it can be considered 99.99% proof :-) . Nothing in evolution say god didn't do it. It just says that the theory works perfectly well with adding god into the mix. So, there really isn't any reason to believe he had anything to do with creating the diversity of life - unlles you want too. . +5

I even checked out the JW's official website..... they deny evolution in it's entirety..... I can't comprehend it... LOL they say that the bible has been proven fact throughout history... But the history channel (LOVE IT) has a few different shows that look in to some of the bibles biggest stories, from Noah's flood to Moses parting the red sea... they even explained the walls of Jericho.... What the history channel has shown is that the stories are like fish tales... while the boy did catch a fish it was not whale sized.

What proof is there for evolution? People claim we Christians are brain washed,but it seems to me its the other way around. If you look at the so called evidence it points to a young earth. do not be confused. religion cannot be explained .so it is a lie. evolution is the best explanation .but still leaves mystery. why do you need to know . live a good life full of love . there is no gods no heaven no hell. when you die that is it , the end .
