  • I can honestly say I have never told someone that I was having a heated disagreement..aka arguement with..to chant on it..lol..although I have said..I am not doing this and then turn and walk away. :)
  • I just don't get heated up over things. I let the other person talk and just have my say in my heart, it's a hell of a lot easier that way. You must tell us the crux of the discussion... I am sure others besides myself are curious.
  • That is an outstanding, effective way to diffuse an argument. Kudos to you.
  • Yes. In several different roles. Mediator, argumentative participant and by-stander. Basically: We are getting nowhere, more heat than light is being generated, etc. let's revisit this when we have had some time to cool off/think about it more, etc.
  • I don't argue or debate. I just bow out gracefully and say good by.
  • Not a lot of chanting going on but I've been in a few where we managed to straighten out the skid;)
  • Sure...not by invoking a prayer, however. I either say "why don't we agree to disagree and move on?" or I simply stop replying and move away from the site..let this person feel "clever" by having the last word. After all, such people usually don't care what others think of them and they leave a trail of insults/invective that labels them a loose cannon..for the world to see..forever. It takes two to tango and unless you want to engage in a real knock-down, drag out gutter fight, you back away and don't look back! :)
  • I have been involved in such a destructive conversation .. It was very horrible and painful!!! But all I was able to do was withdraw and pray for peace of mind for both of us !!
