  • First thing we should do is to wait til we calm down. If we don't before speaking our mind, we tend to say things in anger and say things we shouldn't. I've had frustrating moments at work. I usually let a day go by, then I will talk to my boss. I try to remember to always use professional language. I am close to my boss, so I've gone into his office and just said, I'm not happy. From then on, I'll explain what happened without getting emotional or sarcastic or angry. We don't always see eye to eye, but at least he knows where I stand. Also, don't ever reply to email if you're angry. Let it wait a day. Read your response again and edit accordingly.
  • breathe thru your nose - count to 100 if you have to - think befor you react - remember you are in control of what comes out of your mouth, you are stronger than the anger
  • Learn to control your anger & take some time to think about what you are going to say before you go off. I have the same problem & I have to take some "time out" before I let someone have it.
  • It helps to recognize that people tend to comprehend less of what you're really saying when it is said with anger, whereas, if something is said with kindness, it is understood much more effectively.
