just tell him. That is why you have follow up sessions. He should ask you how you are doing on the meds and tell him. If you don't have an appt. for a while call the office and tell them that your meds are making you worse and you have to see the MD ASAP..they will work you in. In the meantime make a list of how your moods are and anxiety are.. maybe 12: 00 fine 1:00 crying no reason nothing happened 2:00 panic attack after---whatever.. that will help him know what is happening with you. If he can read the same thing on paper that you can verbalize, works the same. Also realize if you just started the meds, they will take 3-4 weeks to work (anti depressants will) so just hold on with them UNLESS they are making you suicidal or homicidal then he needs to know that NOW.. TODAY. As for therapy.. I was in therapy for almost 3 months before things started getting better for me and you may need a new therapist. you may have to try several therapist to find one that works for you. THAT IS OK. I have done that and others have done that. you won't hurt their feelings. they are their for you. Realize that unless you tell the MD what you feel, he will not know what to do for your meds..whether to change the dosage or the entired drug or what.. YOu have to tell him EVERYTHING..you leave out 1 thing and it could hurt you more. GL. I am not a MD but I do have social anxiety and major depression and have been in therapy for years. If you want to talk, my addy is on my profile and I will TRY my best to help or at least listen. (be sure you mention you are from AB in subject or I will think it's junk).
