By some users using the beta version of vista, they've been able to do a workaround called Frankenbuild. It won't work for the edition that's going to be released. http://www.winbeta.org/comments.php?shownews=5709 Tech Republic did an article on the matter a week or two ago and essentially agrees with this article I posted the link to. If I haven't deleted the newsletter about it, I'll post a link to that article later.

Personally, I find this question humorous and here is why. 1) Any Microsoft program is likely to be both in demand and high-priced. This is true of operating systems, and therefore is doubly true of Windows as it is a Microsoft OS. (For the moment, we'll ignore the anti-MS crowd.) 2) Any software that has any sort of following that requires a payment to unlock will be "cracked" by someone somewhere, and that crack will likely be propagated as a sign of competence; "Look what I did! I !5 t3h 1337 haXX0r11111". 3) The really uber-elite will crack stuff that hasn't hit the shelves yet, while the average cracker will shoot for "0-day warez" while posers will actually take a few days AFTER the program is on the market before they crack it. Put it all together and the only logical conclusion is that there are already Vista (final) validation cracks making the rounds.
