Positive discrimination is against the majority, when the minority are pandered to because of political correctness gone too far. Have you experienced this?

I applied for a local council run and subsidised woodwork course. I had to fill in a form on equal opportunities letting them know my ethnic background, work status, age, sex, etc, etc. I got a call from the admissions team who made it clear that being an English, working, 30 year old, degree educated male meant that I was going to be the lowest priority of all the applicants as they wanted to help people who needed skills. Turns out I was the only applicant for the course so they cancelled it. The feeling of irony was overwhelming.
