I think she has really worked hard in her life, some stuff i don't agree with but she still should be respected. she is seen as an african american women role model. plus she helps people and gives people something to watch at 12:00 a.m haha

That woman could give every person in America $1 million and not even feel it, yet she's touted as some great charitable person. Nothing about her pissed me off more than when she gave away those cars to everyone in her audience. Every one of those audience members had to claim the value of that car on their taxes that year - effectively stealing away any return they may have been counting on that year. Great job, Oprah.

Oprah Winfrey. However, we used to watch her all the time up to a few years ago. And then something changed..maybe it was us. Anyway, we don't watch her program any more. She made a big deal out of that book "The Secret"..well, that's a bunch of hooey as far as we're concerned. Then she really came down hard on that author whose book she chose for her club and he turned out to have made up some of the stuff. She was quite mean to him..unnecessarily so I think. I am not justifying his misrepresentation..just her treatment of him..as if she had been let down and that was what was unforgivable. I think she has done a great deal of good in the world, though. :) She sometimes overwhelms her audience with many gifts..her audiences look plenty wealthy to me and quite capable of buying their own toys.
