How cold does it have to get before you turn on the heat or light a fire?

Fortunately I live close to the Equator. I have only 3 seasons. Hot, Hotter and Hottest. The hot is around 24 degrees Celsius. Hottest is upto 43 degrees Celsius. The only heater or fire needed here is for cooking food. I am sorry if I am answering the question out of context.

When it drops below 65 in the house, the heat goes on. It's been on for weeks and it already snowed last night!

I have discovered that the temperature has very little to do with my feelings of hot or cold. Sometimes when there is a breeze in the winter, I feel cold, but the temp says 74. Sometimes I am comfortable in the family room, and Hubby says it's cold (74 degrees), turn on the furnace.
