a q-tip

It depends on how much wax. You can use a Q-tip. Go ahead and gently stick it in your ear. The box says not to do it, but most people do. Just don't jam it in there like a maniac. If that doesn't work, you can try ear candling. This is a technique used by native Americans. You can buy ear candles at most health food stores. Instructions are included. Otherwise, you can go to a doctor if the wax in your ear is really big and really stuck.

I think removal of ear wax supposedly causes more to be produced. I don't like to think that as I use cotton tips to remove the wax from my ear canals. You do need to be careful sticking things in your ear, though, as you can hurt yourself rather seriously. I think there are drops available from chemists that dissolve the wax as well.

I use harsher methods which most people would probably not recommend. A bobby pin works great when you use the rounded edge. If thats not available you can undo a paperclip and close off one end of it in a hoop. (making sure to completly close it off) the hoop will help. But the best advice I can give you is to try to time it with your shower and washing your hair to get the optimum consistancy you should wait until 2 to 3 hours after your shower. Too soon and it will be like yellowish water. Too late and it will be too crusty to move much. Anyways no doctor would recommend these methods but these are what I use.

you should never stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ears. Now try putting your elbow in your ear. LOL. My doctor used to tell me this because I would use qtips then end up getting a buildup. You should just use a washcloth in the shower and clean the outside of your ear. As you sweat your earwax pushes out of your ear so you should never have to use a q tip unless you want to push it right back in then have to get your ears flushed and that freakin hurts.

Lay on your side and have someone pour peroxide in your ear canals. It sounds gross but it works. It's also good to do when you have an ear infection but you can only do it every once in awhile.

q tips, but not all the time, the wax are there to keep stuff out.

You can buy sprays now from the chemist, they are easy to use and thorough.
