Ok ill be the one that puts it in detail, a girl is born with a hymen, some not full complete, everyday activites such as riding a bike, using tampons can stretch or possible even break the hymen, others might break during sexual intercourse, at somestage of another yes your hymem will break but when i does you probably will not bleed, you possibly wont even notice :)

no. hymen's don't have to be broken during sex only. the use of tampons, or during sports such as gymnastic, and even horseriding. it may have been such a small amount blood, it could be flushed away while you wee without even knowing!

No, not all girls bleed when they break. Some girls are born with no hymen at all, while some are born with a hymen so thick that they must have it surgically removed before they can have sex (although this is not very common). Some of my friends say that they didn't even feel it or bleed when they lost their virginity, while some say everything was soaked in blood and the pain was excruciating. One of my friends bled not just the first but also the second time she had sex, and another bled the first three or four times. It just differs from girl to girl.

as everyone has said so far, no. if bleeding and/or pain during her first time is a worry, a woman can spend a few weeks (i know this sounds weird) "stretching" her vaginal opening herself. this may hurt, but better in this context than during sex, right?? this can help alleviate bleeding or discomfort during sex.

Actually, it is quite rare for the Hymen itself to bleed - it is usually a small amount of tissue damage in other areas of the vagina.

There's no such thing as a "breaking hymen" unless the lady has a vaginal malformation (ie septate hymen, extremely rare). Normal women are ready for penetration at least by the time of puberty. Bleeding is either due to proximity of menstruation (just before or just after) or bad foreplay. LESSON TO ALL YOUNG PEOPLE: Before you put your penis in someone, make sure you look and feel FIRST to make sure there is sufficient lubrication. Then the vagina should be gently checked for level of relaxation with a finger (either partner) to ensure ease of penetration. No NEW penetration should occur without these essentials. This will ensure no bleeding.

Not necessarily. Sometimes, tampons have been known to break the hymen. It is also said that extensive physical activity and sports can cause the hymen to tear, due to the stresses on the body. Whether breaks or not before sex is perfectly normal.
