  • I've had this happen before, its pretty embarrassing especially if you don't have health insurance. You could complain but I don't know if that really helps.
  • That is very unprofessional. I would talk or write directly to the doctor to let him/her know what happened so the office staff could be instructed to be discreet when discussing financial matters in front of a waiting room full of patients.
  • To me, that would be a breach of confidentiality! I would make a complaint to the office manager. Those nurses need a bit of training in customer service and HIPPA laws.
