How do you delete an answer which has gone into the wrong categoy or answered the wrong question?

    You cannot generally delete an answer. But if it is not your own answer, and if it were spam offensive or nonsense, you could flag it as such. If the Staff accepts your flagging, the answer will be deleted and it will only be seen in abbreviated form in the private profile of the answerer.

    The best way to have one answer of yours deleted is to edit that answer to something nonsensical like ";".

    If you want to be sure that it gets deleted, you could then ask a friend to flag it as nonsense.

    Other than the first answer, you can just add a period (.) as your answer.
