I would hope so. I'm most certainly not racist in any way but I don't like that a certain number of blacks or women or Hispanics, etc have to be hired. If those minorities are qualified then great but if not then they shouldn't be there. If a black man is more qualified for a job than me, I hope he gets it. But if he isn't and is only hired because of statistics, I'd be pissed.

If we can get over being "offended" by everything. It is way past time to end this nonsense.

Affirmative Action can end when nepotism, cronyism, and legacy advancement does too. (Colleges wouldn't go for that because it might effect their donations from graduates with slacker kids. Like GB.) It can end when schools are properly funded so those who are not wealthy can have a realistic shot of advancing. It can end when people with ethnic names aren't denied opportunity because of it. It can end when race plays no factor in selection. It can end when Whites don't bitch for getting what they asked for. (When top colleges in Cali got flooded with Asian students then suddenly somebody want to talk about race again. Some pissy parents don't like the Top10 rule in TX.) It can end when folks do right by others.

I truly hope so!!

Affirmative action was a little like training wheels for blacks. They can pedal on their own now, its time to grow up and get a big bike like all the other kids.
