Ok i got this external hard drive yesterday,will the power turn off when my computer does or do i do it manualy every time i turn the computer off?

Depends on the drive. Most have an AC adapter that powers it and subsequently a switch that has to be turned off separately. If it is pulling it's power from the computer via a USB cable or the like it will turn off with the computer.
