  • no. would it surprise you?
  • wouldnt that be nice to get a check from bill gates.lol ..it would really surprise me.
  • Surprise me? Not at all. People are falling for hoaxes like this all the time. I've seen company head offices pass hoaxes along as if they were real......
  • No I would not be surprised at all!!!!!! (Hope that pleases everyone now). I have gotten the same email 2-3 times. This is a hoax that has been around for a LONG time. TOTALLY a hoax. It explains it all here: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/m/msoffer.htm PS: The site is invaluable for virus and other online rumors and hoaxes.
  • No. Each of us has fallen for online hoaxes / urban legends at one time or another. Those of us who use the Net more frequently of course know by now to check snopes.com, etc, regarding the validity of email forwards. However, there are people who are not aware of this. Many of them probably just use the Net for email, and are not as aware until someone nicely points out to them that something may be false. My cousin used to "reply to all" and send a rude message about how dumb it was for the sender to have believed in the forward. (One of the many reasons I put all recipients' email addresses in the BCC field.) I really didn't like that, as she certainly could have just answered the sender, and she could have been nice about it. Like I said, at one time we were all in a position where we would have believed something like this. It may be a long time ago, but I can remember that far back.;)
  • I would be surprised that the other business owner who sent it wasn't very savvy in regard to this area of internet security. Chain mail is crap and email doesn't make it anymore legitimate, and a good business person in 2006 should be aware of stuff like this.
