You really can't see if the head or block is warped. It takes so little to break the seal. The head is usually the first to give, as it is smaller and thus less rigid. But that doesn't mean the block couldn't be warped too. That water is coming from somewhere.

You're reading 97 corolla. found water in the oil. Got the head off, gasket looked good and the head seemed okay. couldn't see any cracks. Cylinder 2 was half full of water. Could it be the block? or should I focus on the heads?
