Sure, why not? They have to advertise somewhere, and the best way to reach television is viewers is well, on television. I'm not sure that I would want to LET a competitor advertise on my network, but as we all know, it's all about the money, so if the price is right... One other thing: Many times, you will see network A advertise on network B, and it may seem like a conflict of interest, when in fact, both networks are owned by the same company, and will advertise one another's programming.
