  • well pretty much all bones of the human anatomy heal i guess you would end up i a wheel chair or cast for the rest of your life which one are you concerned about?
  • The doctor would most likely have to re-break the bone again and recast until it heals properly.
  • That's right, the chances are that bone will hell on the wrong way and after you suffer that much you will have to suffer again when the doctor had to break again to get it right this time.
  • Well, eventually, it would wield itself back together, but without any treatment, the consequences can be rather heavy, such as infections, the risk of rupturing muscles or ligaments, and a severely deformed limb upon healing, and it may loose a good percentage of its functions. Also, I was told that, if it's too broken, that the inside of the bone starting at the damage base can start rotting, and you can die from this.
  • Depends on the seriousness of the break; all the way from discomfort while it heals to death.
  • My teenage nephew broke his ankle, but never seeked proper medical attention, and just dealt with the limping for several weeks. When he finally decided to go to the hospital, they told him that his delay in treatment was going to result in permanent nerve damage.
  • it depends on which bone you are speaking about. if it is a little toe bone. the doctor just straps/tapes it to the adjoining toe, and the little toe heals nicely. some breaks could get infected and gangreen could set in and then death. some breaks could cause shock and death could result if not attended to.
