For those who ask good questions, I think it's a shame. For those who ask redundant, inane questions, I think "thank goodness for small favors."

I had the occasion to see this notification just once. I had 7 questions one leading to the next in a logical progression. After the 5th the notification showed up. I was not aware of this rule. So I felt troubled for sometime. But I could see the logic behind the rule. I never asked the remaining 2 questions. Once the chain gets broken, its difficult to pick up from where we leave.

I have never gotten this message. But I am sure it serves a good purpose. I have seen some that would flood this site with nothing but crap if they could just for attention and that to me takes away from the site.

The first thing that comes to my mind: Who needs to ask 20 questions an hour anyway? I mean, seriously here, folks. Unless you are one of those people who enjoy 'bagging because they CAN ask questions, competively or otherwise. But really...other than that, there is no need for a higher limit.

I would say that the chance of anyone being able to come up with more than five well thought-out questions in 15 minutes is close to nil. Given the quality of some of the questions on this site, I would say "Thank you AB admin!"

I have asked 704 questions. that is about 141 times 15 minutes by this speed, so about 35 hours. In a good working week, I could have asked all my questions. And I have been here more than 1 1/2 years. The idea is not that everyone gets a chance to ask a question, you can do it anyway, but rather that everyone gets a better chance to have some of their questions noticed, and not have them unnoticed in the middle of a question flood produced by very few users.

I have no problem with people asking more than 4 questions IF they are fun or well thought out. This is the problem as discussed above. Some people are so into getting "most inquisitive" that they can and will ask 1000 questions of day of the same garbage with 1 word difference just to achieve that. They don't want answers and they NEVER respond to the answers or give points to the answerer. it's all about "most inquisitive" and they don't care if it bogs down the board with 400 pages of THEIR unanswered questions or if anyone else gets their questions noticed.

Wow wish i could think of questions that fast!!! i guess i get more fun out of answering them!

A "filter" is in place.
