  • totally depends on the aircraft type and model (and weight) involved...and whether the aircraft is moving or not while they are doing the calculations...
  • I assume you are referring to a calculation done before the plane even leaves the gate. When the pilots are calculating the takeoff weight, they account for fuel that will be burned during the start-up and taxi to the runway. If they are going to be taxiing for a long way, they may request more. This usually doesn't affect the takeoff weight because it will be burned off before reaching the runway.
