  • Well one way to have fun is a door prize and you could have them put it in a bowl and let the birthday boy draw. I also like to use containers and fill them with candy and ask them to guess the amount. They win the container of candy and also have one separate for the adults to guess and I gave away a nice yankee candle and a warmer. It was pumpkin spice. If you have a yard you can do a scavenger hunt by hiding things around the yard and the first person to get the most items wins. You can give out model car kits or gift certificates for a pizza or gift certificates for music. You can also go on google and do a search and come up with lots of good ideas. I just did a birthday party for my granddaughters 5th. It was a lot of work!! good luck!
  • i have 5 children so im always planning something lol..just this month i planned a party for my oldest daughters 12th birthday.. we had a party with cake ice cream..a pinate.. we had a few games for the kids that were there for just the cake and ice cream.. like guessing how many gumballs were in the hannnah montana guitar bag...we played pop the balloons.. and i got all the prizes from the dollar tree for a buck a piece...all things the kids loved... then after the younger kids left.. we started the slumber party.. we had a scavenger hunt at the mall were we live.. we hunted easy things that didnt cost anything.. i made the list myself.. then once that was done we came back to the house and played games like high heel shoe races.. with boiled eggs and spoons.. pin the heart on the jonas brothers... then we had lots of healthy snacks like cucumbers tomatoes.. carrots .. for them to snack on..my husband even made a meat tray for them ..then they watched horror movies appropriate for their age group.. they told scray stories and stayed up really late...all the girls were about 10 and up but they all had a blast ... they all had to be picked up by 11am the next morning so i could do clean up .. we had streamers and balloons nothing really fancy for decorations but i got neat prizes for them .. like diaries.. dream catchers.. pencils.. nite lights stuff like that...i spent less than 100 dollars on the whole party.. and that included renting 7 movies..cake, ice cream..prizes.. and birthday presents for my daughter
